Great things requires, great actions:
So many things are going on right now in the trucking industry, so many challenges, and on the background of these challenges at least we still have decent RPM, however we clearly see how fuel is spiking. I had conversations with several gas station network managers, and based on what I hear from the market, supply disruptions and higher cost oil are already impacting prices, and even if things stabilize, recovery will not be immediate — it may take at least 4–6 months due to production, transportation, and distribution cycles. So the question is not simple: is it a good time to buy trucks, is it a good time to expand, is it a good time to make risky decisions? After 11 years in this industry I can say one thing — there is no single answer, every company must act individually based on its own capabilities, financial strength, and operational efficiency, because today I see some companies doing very well, some just surviving, and some breaking even. The real question is different — are we ready and secured for the challenges ahead? The trucking industry will continue to evolve with more technology and more improvements, but at the end of the day the way you work, your discipline, and how you implement systems will define your results.
