Experienced Accounting Specialist – Trucking Insurance Agency
REMOTE VACANCY
Key Responsibilities
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Process insurance premiums, commissions, and carrier payments
• Reconcile bank statements and insurance trust accounts
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
• Maintain accurate general ledger entries
• Assist with audits, tax preparation, and regulatory compliance
• Monitor cash flow and resolve billing discrepancies
• Work closely with agents, carriers, and management
• Track policy cancellations, premium payments, and refunds
Requirements
• Minimum 2 years of accounting experience (insurance or trucking industry preferred)
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
• Experience with insurance accounting, premium trust accounts, or commission tracking is a plus
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
